Southwest PDP Upturns Chairman’s Suspension In Oyo.

The Southwest zonal office of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) yesterday upturned the suspension of the Chairman of the party in Ibadan North East Local Government of Oyo State, Taiwo Iyiola, over alleged anti-party activities.  It said the suspension of Iyiola by the State Working Committee (SWC) was arbitrarily without any preliminary hearing as demanded by the party’s constitution.  PDP spokesman in Oyo State Akeem Olatunji said on the phone that the Zonal Secretary, Daisi Akintan, who signed the letter reinstating the suspended chairman, lacked power to act without the consent of the Zonal Chairman, Dayo Ogunbenro. He said the purported letter was null and void.

Can Hits Out 😡 at Lack of Game Time with Juventus

Emre Can said he is unhappy at Serie A champions Juventus as the Germany international struggles for game time in Turin.

After missing out on Sarri's Champions League squad this season, Can made no secret of his anger at missing out admitting he was 'furious' and 'shocked' by the decision.

"I'm not happy [at Juventus] right now. I don't play much at the moment," Can said. "Last season I played a lot. Especially in important games for Juventus. And I also played well there. I haven't had a chance this season. But now I think, when I come back to the club, I will get chances again. I am definitely grateful to Joachim Low. Because I didn't play much in the club and he invited me anyway. Nevertheless, he gave me the chance. That's why I was simply happy that I played again."

Can and Germany are back in action on Sunday, when they travel to Estonia for their Euro 2020 qualifier.

About 300,000 people are expected to leave Hong Kong for Britain using a new visa route which opens on Sunday. Hong Kong's British National (Overseas) passport holders and their immediate dependants will be able to apply for the visa using a smartphone app. Boris Johnson said the move honoured the UK's "profound ties of history and friendship" with the ex-British colony.
