Southwest PDP Upturns Chairman’s Suspension In Oyo.

The Southwest zonal office of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) yesterday upturned the suspension of the Chairman of the party in Ibadan North East Local Government of Oyo State, Taiwo Iyiola, over alleged anti-party activities.  It said the suspension of Iyiola by the State Working Committee (SWC) was arbitrarily without any preliminary hearing as demanded by the party’s constitution.  PDP spokesman in Oyo State Akeem Olatunji said on the phone that the Zonal Secretary, Daisi Akintan, who signed the letter reinstating the suspended chairman, lacked power to act without the consent of the Zonal Chairman, Dayo Ogunbenro. He said the purported letter was null and void.

Linda Porter 👵🏻 Dead - 'Superstore' Actress Dies 😢 at 86

Superstore actress Linda Porter has sadly passed away. The 86-year-old actress died after a long battle with cancer on Wednesday (September 25), according to Deadline.

Linda, who played Cloud 9 employee Myrtle Vartanian, had appeared in 35 episodes of the NBC sitcom since season one. She had reportedly not filmed any episodes for the show's new season.

Additionally, Linda had a reoccurring role on Twin Peaks revival as well as credits in Childrens Hospital, 2 Broke Girls, The Mindy Project and How I Met Your Mother.

Bishop Wale Oke, the National Deputy President, Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN), says churches in Nigeria are deviating from the cause of soul winning. Oke made the observation on Tuesday in Ibadan while hosting the leadership of Foursquare Gospel Church, Lagos. The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Oke is also the Presiding Bishop of Sword of the Spirit Ministries, Ibadan. The delegation of Foursquare church led by the outgoing General Overseer, Rev. Felix Meduoye, had visited Oke to introduce the new General Overseer-elect, Rev. Sam Aboyeji.
