Southwest PDP Upturns Chairman’s Suspension In Oyo.

The Southwest zonal office of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) yesterday upturned the suspension of the Chairman of the party in Ibadan North East Local Government of Oyo State, Taiwo Iyiola, over alleged anti-party activities.  It said the suspension of Iyiola by the State Working Committee (SWC) was arbitrarily without any preliminary hearing as demanded by the party’s constitution.  PDP spokesman in Oyo State Akeem Olatunji said on the phone that the Zonal Secretary, Daisi Akintan, who signed the letter reinstating the suspended chairman, lacked power to act without the consent of the Zonal Chairman, Dayo Ogunbenro. He said the purported letter was null and void.

Colin Farrell in Talks to Play Penguin 🎥 and Andy Serkis to Play Alfred Pennyworth in 🦇 'The Batman'

Colin Farrell is in talks to play "The Penguin". The 43-year-old actor is in negotiations with Warner Bros. to take on the villainous role in Matt Reeves' upcoming "The Batman", according to Deadline on Tuesday. The role was originated by Danny DeVito in "Batman Returns" in 1992.

In addition, Andy Serkis is in talks to play Alfred Pennyworth, Bruce Wayne's butler, in the film, according to Variety.

As previously reported, Robert Pattinson will play Batman, Paul Dano will play The Riddler and Zoe Kravitz will play Catwoman.

Pre-production is expected to begin next summer, and the movie is set to hit theaters on June 25, 2021.

Bishop Wale Oke, the National Deputy President, Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN), says churches in Nigeria are deviating from the cause of soul winning. Oke made the observation on Tuesday in Ibadan while hosting the leadership of Foursquare Gospel Church, Lagos. The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Oke is also the Presiding Bishop of Sword of the Spirit Ministries, Ibadan.
